Preparation work and precautions before installation of wear-resistant slurry pump mechanical seal

We know that horizontal slurry pumps require shaft seals. One of the shaft seals is a mechanical seal. This sealing method can achieve no leakage. But its cost is higher than that of packing seal. Today we are going to talk about the preparations and precautions before installation.
1. If you want to replace the old mechanical seal and seal the new machine, you must check whether the model of the mechanical seal matches the pump. Whether the quality meets the standards.
2. There should be a suitable gap between the anti-anti-groove at the tail of the static ring and the top of the anti-rotation pin. The gap is generally 1-2mm.
3. Before assembly, the two O-rings should be coated with a layer of lubricating oil, and the end faces of the dynamic and stationary rings do not need to be coated with oil.
4. During the installation process, the contact surface of the mechanical seal should be kept clean, especially the dynamic and stationary rings and auxiliary sealing components should be free of impurities and dust.
