Failure analysis of submersible slurry pump

A submersible slurry pump is a slurry pump in which the pump body and motor are integrated. When using it, the entire pump needs to be submerged into the slurry. It makes up for the shortcomings of horizontal slurry pumps that cannot be sucked up. Today we are going to talk about the analysis and solutions to various faults of submersible slurry pumps.
1. The water pump does not produce water, and the pressure gauge pointer jumps violently. Cause: The water inlet is blocked; the pipeline or instrument is leaking. Solution: Clear the blockage; check whether the pipeline is leaking and block the leaking point.
2. The water pump does not discharge water. Cause: The water inlet of the pump is higher than the liquid level; the rotation direction is wrong. Solution: Submerge the water inlet of the water pump under the liquid surface; check the motor steering.
3. The pressure gauge shows that there is pressure at the water outlet of the pump, but the water pump does not produce water. Cause: The impeller is clogged; the number of revolutions is insufficient. Solution: Check the pipeline, clean the impeller; increase the number of revolutions of the pump.
4. The flow rate is too low. Cause: The water pump is clogged; the number of revolutions is not enough, and the impeller is seriously worn. Solution: Clean the pipes and water pump; increase the speed and replace the impeller.
5. The water pump consumes too much power. Cause: The water supply of the water pump is too small; the impeller is worn. Solution: Open the large gate valve for export customers; replace the impeller.
6. Bearing overheating. Cause: The bearing is short of oil; there are foreign objects inside the bearing or the bearing is damaged. Solution: add lubricating oil; clean or replace the bearings.
