When we choose a submersible slurry pump for a customer, the customer will ask for a coupling device. What is a coupling device and does it need to be installed? Let’s talk about it today.
To facilitate later installation and maintenance work, we recommend customers install coupling devices. If there is no automatic coupling device and conventional fixed installation is used, if the water pump fails, the maintenance personnel will have to go into the water to remove the slurry pump and lift it for maintenance, or use other water pumps to pump out the slurry. After that, people will go back for inspection. Therefore, from the perspective of convenience, it is necessary to install a coupling device. When it needs to lift submersible slurry, it can directly lift the water pump. After the maintenance is completed, it can continue working by going down the guide rail. Generally, small submersible pumps can be installed freely, while large submersible pumps are generally equipped with automatic coupling devices.
The automatic coupling device has a compact structure and a small footprint. Since the submersible slurry pump works underwater, it can be installed directly in the pool. There is no need to build a special pump room to install the pump.
