ELANE(Neutrophil elastase) Basic information
Neutrophil elastase (EC 3.4.21.37, leukocyte elastase, ELANE, ELA2, elastase 2, neutrophil, elaszym, serine elastase, subtype human leukocyte elastase (HLE)) is a serine proteinase in the same family as chymotrypsin and has broad substrate specificity. Neutrophil elastase is secreted by neutrophils during inflammation, and destroys bacteria and host tissue. It also localizes to neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs), via its high affinity for DNA, an unusual property for serine proteases.
Human ELANE(Neutrophil elastase) ELISA Kit test method
Feiyue’s Human ELANE(Neutrophil elastase) Elisa kit is an ELISA reagent for detection of Neutrophil elastase in Tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.
This kit uses sandwich ELISA to detect the concentration of ELANE(Neutrophil elastase). ELANE(Neutrophil elastase) -specific monoclonal antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Standards samples and controls are added to interact with the immobilized antibody. A sandwich complex is formed by additional anti- ELANE(Neutrophil elastase) antibody with HRP-Streptavidin. TMB solution is added to react with the sandwich for ming optical signal measured by microplate reader. The concentration of ELANE(Neutrophil elastase) in the sample can be calculated by comparing the absorbance of the sample with the standard curve.
