Today Pansto Pump Industry is talking about the difference between centrifugal pumps and centrifugal pumps.
I believe there are still many friends who don’t understand slurry pumps, and they can’t tell the difference and relationship between slurry pumps and centrifugal pumps. Let me start with the working principle of slurry pumps and give you a detailed introduction.
In fact, in principle, the slurry pump is a type of centrifugal pump. Because the working principle of the slurry pump is to use the centrifugal force of the impeller to transport the slurry.
The main working parts of a centrifugal pump are the impeller and the pump casing. The impeller is mounted on the shaft and connected with the motor or other prime mover to form an integral body. When the motor drives the impeller to rotate, the blades in the impeller force the slurry to rotate, that is, the blades of the impeller do work on the slurry in its direction of movement, thereby forcing the slurry's potential energy and kinetic energy to increase. At the same time, the slurry flows from the center to the periphery of the impeller under the action of inertial force, and flows out at a very high speed. This process is the water pressure process. The centrifugal pump relies on the action of the rotating impeller on the liquid to transfer the mechanical energy of the prime mover to the liquid.
Due to the action of the centrifugal pump, when the liquid flows from the impeller inlet to the outlet, its velocity energy and pressure energy are increased. The liquid discharged by the impeller passes through the pressure chamber, and most of the velocity energy is converted into pressure energy, and then transported along the discharge pipeline. At this time, a vacuum or low pressure is formed at the impeller inlet due to the discharge of liquid. The liquid in the suction pool is forced into the impeller inlet under the action of the liquid surface pressure (atmospheric pressure). As a result, the rotating impeller continuously rotates. Aspirate and expel fluids. In fact, the slurry pump also uses the centrifugal force formed by the rotation of the impeller to transport slurry. Therefore, the slurry pump is also a centrifugal pump. In this way, everyone will understand the relationship between slurry pumps and centrifugal pumps.
The reason why the slurry pump is called a slurry pump is defined from the medium it transports. As the name suggests, the slurry transported by the slurry pump is a mixture of solid particles containing slag and water.
