Because of the working environment requirements of the submersible slurry pump, its motor requirements are different from those of ordinary motors. As we have said before, its most important feature is that its protection level is the highest among motors. Today we will introduce other characteristics of submersible slurry pump motors.
Differences in cooling methods. The difference in cooling methods is also one of the main differences between the motors of submersible pumps and horizontal pumps. The ground motor drives the fan to rotate when the motor rotates to achieve the air-cooling effect. However, the motor of the submersible slurry pump is completely sealed and immersed in water, so it cannot achieve air-cooling to cool the motor. It adopts a water cooling method, which achieves cooling by letting water flow through the surface of the motor.
Differences in material selection. Because the motor of the submersible slurry pump needs to be immersed in the slurry for a long time, some slurries may also contain corrosive substances and particulate matter. Therefore, the motor of a submersible slurry pump generally uses materials with a higher anti-corrosion level to achieve the purpose of working in slurry for a long time.
Therefore, when we choose a submersible slurry pump, we also need to understand the quality of the motor to avoid shutdowns due to the motor not meeting the requirements.
