The G-type gravel pump adopts a single pump casing structure with a cassette edge connection. It is a single-stage single-suction centrifugal pump. Its advantages are large particle size, light weight, good cavitation performance, good anti-abrasion performance, and easy installation. Because it has a better effect in transporting large particles of highly abrasive mud and sand, it is often used in sand mining plants and sand pumping ships. Gravel pumps will also encounter various problems during operation. Today we will talk about the causes and solutions of failures.
1. The pump does not absorb water: the water is not filled enough, the air in the pump cannot be discharged, the suction pipe leaks, and the gap between the front liner and the impeller is large. Solution: Continue to pour water, check whether there is air leakage in the pipeline, and adjust the impeller clearance.
2. Slow water supply: The gap between the front guard plate and the impeller is large, the water outlet pipe cannot seal the air, and the emptying is slow. Solution: Adjust the impeller clearance and install a vacuum device.
3. The Pansto Pump vibrates: the pump shaft and the motor shaft are not concentric, the impeller is unbalanced, or the bearing is damaged. Solution: Adjust the concentricity of the shaft, perform a balance test on the impeller, check the bearings and replace the bearings.
4. Insufficient Pansto Pump pressure: the impeller or guard plate is worn, and there is air in the pump. Solution: Replace accessories and exhaust.
The above are the several common problems and solutions we have summarized in sand pumping. If you want to know more about slurry pump knowledge or professional technical support, please feel free to call us!
