Sealing method of horizontal wear-resistant slurry pump

Slurry pumps are divided into horizontal slurry pumps and vertical slurry pumps based on their installation methods. Vertical slurry pumps do not require shaft seals because the pump head is immersed in the slurry. Horizontal slurry pumps require shaft seals. So, what are the sealing methods of horizontal slurry pumps? As a manufacturer of horizontal slurry pumps, here are some commonly used sealing methods.
Packing seal: The sealing component of this seal is composed of the following spare parts: packing (4 pieces), front water seal ring, positioning sleeve, positioning sleeve O-ring, shaft sleeve, shaft sleeve O-ring, split packing Gland, split packing gland holding bolts (2 pieces), stuffing box, stuffing box seal. The advantages of this sealing method are: solid, durable, and low maintenance cost. Disadvantages are: dripping during operation; high-pressure shaft seal water is required. The packing needs to be replaced regularly.
Secondary impeller seal: The sealing component of this seal is composed of the following spare parts: packing (2 pieces), water seal ring, split packing gland, split packing gland pressing bolts (2 pieces), packing pad , shaft sleeve, shaft sleeve O-ring (2 pieces), pressure reducing cover, pressure reducing cover O-ring, secondary impeller, secondary impeller O-ring, oil cup, oil cup holder. The 4/3C-AH model pump also has a butterfly positioning sleeve. The advantages of this sealing method are the same as those of pure filler sealing: solid, durable and low maintenance cost. Disadvantages are: dripping during operation; the advantage compared to pure fillers is that there is no need to add high-pressure shaft seal water, just fill the oil cup with butter. The packing here also needs to be replaced regularly.
Mechanical seal: The sealing component of this seal consists of the following accessories: mechanical seal, mechanical seal box, and mechanical seal sleeve. The advantage of this kind of seal is that it can prevent any leakage. Disadvantages: more delicate. The shaft seal water cannot be lacking during operation. Once water is lacking, the mechanical seal will be burned and the price of the mechanical seal will be higher.
