Nitrocellulose is widely used as a single-base propellant, double-base propellant, triple-base propellant, modified double-base and composite modified double-base propellant adhesive. It is used as a viscosity regulator for making propellants or casting mixed explosives. As a curing cross-linking agent, its main function is to cross-link uncured prepolymers to prevent the propellant from plastic flow. Nitrocellulose with different ammonia contents has different names and different solubility and uses.
